Gourmet grocery store Mercato Fresh will be opening its Windsor location this week.
The new store is located at 3235 Banwell Road in Windsor and will be the company’s second location. Mercato Fresh opened its first store in Chatham in February 2020.
Mercato Fresh is known for its fresh produce, butcher, fresh bread, and grocery items. The store was voted best ‘Specialty Food Store’ and ‘Butcher / Meat Shop’ by the Chatham Daily News in 2021.
The company describes themselves as the the premier market in a region known for outstanding climate, livestock, and produce.
The new location has been be constructed on a five acre property and construction crews were putting finishing touches on the property on Friday.
It opens at 8:00am on Thursday, November 17th.
