Our local heroes made their way through the crowd and passed out candies for the excited children watching in the sidelines. Local companies, schools and bands soon followed.
The floats were remarkable, festive and carried with them jolly passengers who wished the crowd a Merry Christmas. There were marching bands, dancing reindeer and Christmas trees and semi-trucks that blew torches of fire. Almost every passing float had festive folks passing out candy and goodies to the children watching the parade.
The kids among the crowds wait for the Big Guy while the live bands and dancers pave the way for him. The music was lively, seasonal, modern and uplifting.
After the Towne Shoppe passes through, the arrival of jolly old Saint Nick sends the parade goers into cheers and applause. Santa Claus Comes to Amherstburg and spreads his cheer to all those in attendance.
