OPP Investigating After Teen Approached By Adult Male In Tecumseh

Essex County Ontario Provincial Police is looking for the publics’ help to identify a male driver involved in a suspicious person investigation.
On October 24th, 2021 police say they received a report of a suspicious
person occurrence in the Town of Tecumseh around 5:30pm. Investigators learned a 13-year-old boy was in the vicinity of St. Thomas Street and Manning Road when an unfamiliar vehicle pulled up alongside him.
The driver and lone occupant attempted to engage the boy in conversation. The boy wisely declined to speak to the male then immediately went to a place of safety where he reported the incident.
Investigators are looking to speak with the individual involved and are requesting assistance from the public to help identify the vehicle and driver.
The person of interest is described as being a middle-aged male operating a dark grey Toyota sedan with a rusty trunk. The vehicle was described to have a round silver ornament hanging from the rearview mirror.
