Lakeshore Council has ratified a collective agreement with the IBEW Union Local 636 that represents many outdoor operational staff, Water and Wastewater Operators and Class B Facility Attendants at the Atlas Tube Centre.
The agreement includes 1.8%, 2% and 1.8% economic increases over the 3 year agreement, greater full time staff coverage at the Atlas Tube Centre, increased clothing provisions and allowances, and two additional paid leave days during the life of the agreement.
It also includes the introduction of a second shift during the winter season for greater safety on the roads.
