The students of Holy Names Catholic High School continue to live up to their school motto, ‘Aliis Non Sibi’ (For Others, Not Oneself) by giving back to those in need.
Following this morning’s Harvest Mass, the Holy Names School Community presented cheques to eight local charities. The monies were raised at the fifth annual “We Walk for Kids” event this past spring on May 26th.
To date, the event has raised $133,000 for local youth charities. The Charities receiving cheques this year are St. Mary’s, St. Vincent de Paul, Windsor-Essex Therapeutic Riding Association, W.E. Care for Kids, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Students Helping Students, Sammy Uprichard and Autism Ontario Windsor Chapter.
