Calling All Compassionate Photogs

Hello time traveller!!
This article is 5368 days old.
The information listed below is likely outdated and has been preserved for archival purposes.
In the fourth segment of their “Save The City” project, Broken City Lab is asking for some more audience participation. This leg of the race is called Things Worth Saving, and anyone with a camera and a heart-on for Windsor is asked to go out and shoot five things in particular.
#1 – Someone you’d hate to see leave the city.
#2 – Something inspiring.
#3 – Somewhere that made you feel something important.
#4 – Somewhere you know you’ll always find a familiar face.
#5 – Something with potential.
The photos will be turned into postcards and sent out to various cities across Canada, instigating a dialogue on how we see our city versus how non-Windsorites see our city. Any photos you want included in the project should be forwarded to BCL by 11:59pm on April 11th, using this email address: [email protected] (keep in mind that the postcards will made using a landscape/horizontal format, not vertical/portrait).
On April 27th at 7pm, the BCL crew will host a postcard party at the ArtSpeak Gallery (1942 Wyandotte Street East), where we’ll write messages on the postcards and get them ready for mailing. I know we’ve got a tonne of phenom photogs in this city (just take a look at our windsoriteDOTca Flickr group if you need proof), so let’s see your best shots of our fair city!
