LaSalle Automotive Technician Wins North American Award

A local automotive technician has won a national award.
CARSTAR, recently awarded 30 of its collision repair technicians with a 3M File Belt Sander in celebration of employee appreciation month.
David Rabideau from CARSTAR LaSalle, was one of the 30 employees selected from over 650 CARSTAR locations from across North America.
“He’s the self declared ‘Old Man’ of our shop and this year he’ll have been in the auto body trade for 50 years,” says Stephanie Gabriele, General Manager, CARSTAR LaSalle.
“To this day, he still loves his job and what he does and we’re welcomed on a daily basis with a new story and a laugh by Dave. He’s everyone’s favorite person not just because he’s a great person, but he’s an extremely skilled technician that puts 110% into everything he works on and he treats absolutely every vehicle like it’s his own. Dave is also the teacher of the shop and I have the pleasure of saying he taught me how to be an estimator, which helped me move my way up. There is no way I could have done any of this without the expert guidance and knowledge of my ‘work Dad’. Ask any person, CARSTAR corporate employees as well, about our Dave and they will all tell you what a gem we have here on our staff. CARSTAR just isn’t CARSTAR without our ‘Old Man’.”
CARSTAR’s employee appreciation is a part of the yearlong celebration of its 30th anniversary. Each month, the CARSTAR family is doing something unique to thank the many communities, franchise partners and employees for their continued support throughout its 30th years of business.
