Single detached housing starts for the month of April were down compared to one year ago according to the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation.
This past April, 44 new single detached homes were started compared to 54 one year ago.
Construction of other multi-unit dwellings was up with 30 started in 2019 compared to 14 in April 2018.
