After a delay at the border Friday, the new PET/CT scanner was delivered to the Metropolitan Campus of Windsor Regional Hospital Saturday morning.
It is housed within an already built structure and it will be attached to the Cancer Centre’s eastern side.
Following staff training over the next few weeks, the scanner will begin providing scans to more than 600 patients every year.
