Windsor Arena, affectionately known as the “Barn”, will be closed for emergency repairs effective immediately, according to a media release put out by the City of Windsor.
The release states that Ice Rentals will resume during the Fall. Forest Glade, South Windsor, Adie Knox Herman and the WFCU Centre arenas remain open for ice rentals.
The “Barn” was built in 1924 and served the Windsor Spitfires until 2008 where it was designated the home arena of the University of Windsor Lancers Hockey Team.
