With the school year coming to a close on Wednesday, that can only mean one this. It’s time for the City outdoor pools to open!
The six outdoor pools open with daytime swims starting Saturday June 25 at 1:30 pm weather permitting.
Kick off summer with a free swim, compliments of CUPE Local 2345 sponsors of the afternoon swim on Thursday, June 30 in all outdoor pools. The recreational swim starts at 1:30 pm.
Outdoor evening swims start Monday, June 27 at 6 pm in six pools: Atkinson Pool, Central Pool, Lanspeary Pool, Mic Mac Pool, Remington Booster Pool and Riverside Centennial Pool. Evening sponsored swims cost only $1 per person.
The City of Windsor also has five spalsh pads located at AKO Park, Fred Thomas, Ford City Spray Pad in Drouillard Park, Kim Lucier in Mic Mac Park near the Little League Diamonds, and Mic Mac spray pad adjacent to the pool in Mic Mac Park.
Sandpoint Beach is also open for daily swimming from 1:00 pm until 7:00 pm
