Every Friday, windsoriteDOTca will once again be providing weekly beach reports all summer long.
We will let you know which beaches are safe for swimming, and those that are not.
Water samples are taken every Wednesday. The samples are sent to a public health lab in London. Testing is done Thursday and the results are given to the Health Unit by Friday.
Based on samples taken Wednesday, June 22nd, 2016:
Swimming is unsafe at at Colchester, Hillman Marsh, Mettawas, Point Pelee West, Seacliff and West Belle River beaches as bacterial counts exceed 100.
No beaches are closed this week.
