Ford City is celebrating Earth Day this Friday at Garry Dugal Park.
The fun includes earth day crafts for children, a tree planting ceremony, and light refreshments. Children will have the option of doing three different earth day inspired crafts from 3:30pm to 6pm.
The Ford City Residents in Action have officially adopted the park through the City of Windsor’s Adopt-A-Park program, and this year five trees will be planted to represent each year that the FCRA have been volunteering together to put on community events and beautify the neighbourhood.
Local MP Cheryl Hardcastle has organized a clean team who will be clean sweeping the neighbourhood during the event. They leave from the park at 3:45pm.
