Two Local Beaches Posted This Weekend

windsoriteDOTca will be providing weekly beach reports every Friday, all summer long. We will let you know which beaches are safe for swimming, and those that are not.
Water samples testing for E.coli bacteria are taken every Wednesday. The samples are sent to a public health lab in London. Testing is done Thursday and the results are given to the Health Unit by Friday.
Based on samples taken Wednesday, August 5th, 2015:
West Belle River beach and Mettawas beach are posted as E.coli bacterial counts exceed 100.
Hillman Marsh Beach is under a blue green algae advisory until lab sample results are complete.
No beaches are closed this week.
