Seven events are planned to celebrate the official launch of the County Wide Active Transportation System Charter. The events are planned in each of the seven towns across Essex County and are free to everyone.
The CWATS Charter acknowledges the County’s 20 year commitment towards active transportation and the benefits that it will bring to residents – access, equity, health and well-being, environmental sustainability, personal and community safety, and community cohesion and prosperity.
Starting on Tuesday, May 19th, 2015, the 1st Annual CWATS Community Celebration to Walk.Ride. County Wide will begin in Tecumseh and then travel across other towns in Essex County.
At each event, local leaders will acknowledge the CWATS Charter plaque, and then they will show us how to get out and Walk-Ride County Wide through an active community celebration.
