Two people were injured after a fire at the Westchester East building located at 9099 Riverside East.
Fire crews were called to the building around 3am where they found fire on the 5th floor.
Crews brought it under control quickly, but it took some time to remove the heavy smoke from the building.
Two residents were treated for smoke inhalation, with one being transported to hospital.
Investigators say the blaze was caused by overheated electrical components.
It caused $400,000 it total damages to the building and contents.
