The Salvation Army’s Annual Christmas Kettle Campaign kicks off in less then a week and is in need of volunteers.
Kettles will be placed at 19 retail locations throughout the city until December 24th, and volunteers are needed to stand by the kettles to greet shoppers with smiles and accept donations in three hour shifts.
This year, volunteering has been made even easier. Anyone interested in volunteering is encouraged to sign-up using the new on-line system at www.WindsorChristmasKettles.ca. This new system will allow volunteers to register on-line, pick their preferred location and shift, and will even send them reminders. Those who would prefer to not to use this new system can still call the Kettle Hotline at 519-971-5878 or email [email protected].
“We are so grateful for the hundreds of volunteers who help us bring hope and dignity to our community’s most vulnerable”, says Perron Goodyear, Public Relations & Development Representative. “This year, more than ever, we are relying on the assistance of our fellow Windsorites to help us make the Christmas season brighter for others”.
