One Day Full Closure Of Sandwich Street Planned For Saturday

This Saturday, Bridging North America will close Sandwich Street in both directions between the Essex Terminal Railway easement and Chappell Avenue for paving.
This closure will be in place from 3:00am to 7:00pm. Following this one-day closure, traffic will return to the current one-lane northbound configuration.
Detours
Southbound traffic:
Southbound traffic will detour to Huron Church Road:
- Vehicular traffic will turn east on Prince Road and follow it to Huron Church Road.
- Commercial (truck) traffic will turn east on Prince Road and then east on Tecumseh Road to Huron Church Road.
- Once traffic has reached Huron Church Road the detour ends. Huron Church Road can be followed to reach the intended destination of E.C. Row Expressway, Highway 401, Ojibway
- Parkway or addresses on Sandwich Street within the construction work area.
Northbound traffic:
Northbound traffic will be redirected prior to entering Sandwich Street in the following manner:
- Vehicular traffic coming from Ojibway Parkway (northbound) will continue on E.C. Row Expressway (eastbound) and exit on Huron Church Road northbound, turn northwest onto Prince Road and continue toward Sandwich Street.
- Vehicular traffic coming from E.C. Row Expressway(eastbound) will exit on Huron Church Road northbound, turn northwest onto Prince Road and continue towards Sandwich Street.
- Commercial (truck) traffic coming from Ojibway Parkway (northbound) will continue on E.C. Row Expressway (eastbound) and exit on Huron Church Road northbound, turn west onto
- Tecumseh Road W, northwest onto Prince Road, and continue toward Sandwich Street.
- Commercial (truck) traffic coming from E.C. Row Expressway (eastbound) will exit on Huron Church Road northbound, turn west onto Tecumseh Road W, northwest onto Prince Road, and continue toward Sandwich Street.
