CELEBRATE ALL THINGS GOLD & GREEN THIS ST. PATRICK’S DAY

Did you know one of the reasons we wear green on St. Patrick’s Day is so that you will be invisible to leprechauns? Those mischievous little characters like to pinch anyone they can see so by wearing green you’ll escape their pinch! Others believe that wearing green brings good luck.

IT’S NOT EASY BEING GREEN:

We want to protect you from the leprechauns AND bring you good luck so we’ve put together a list of great green things in YQG to celebrate this St. Patrick’s Day.

  1. Patrick’s Day means spring is right around the corner, so why not GREEN up your space with some new plants from Anna’s Garden, Home & Wellnessand Cindy’s Home & Garden.
  1. Outdoor greens might not be quite ready for your golf swing, but the indoor mini golf at Colasanti’s Tropical Gardensis a great place to hit the greens and fun for the whole family, including those pesky little leprechauns!
  1. Get out into (almost) green nature with a walk along the trails or in the parksof Windsor Essex
  1. If all else fails and your green isn’t distracting the leprechauns bring them to Adventure Bay and tire them out on the slides and in the wave pool while you float down the lazy river!

WISHING YOU A POT OF GOLD AND ALL THE JOY YOUR HAND CAN HOLD:

If you’re looking for more of a pot of gold than avoiding the leprechauns, might we suggest trading in your pot of gold for a pint of gold along the Barrels Bottles and Brews Trail

  1. Kingsville Brewing Co.: Be sure to visit the Kingsville Brewery Taphouse as they put on live music and a feature menu this St. Patty’s Day! The Yuzu Saison and Hazy IPA will be on tap as well as their usual star-studded line up.
  1. Cured Craft Brewing Co.Banded Goose Brewing Co.: Get ready for a collaboration brew with Banded Goose Brewing of an Irish Red Ale for St. Patrick’s Day release. Weekend will feature Cured Brewing’s new very large and enjoyable patio.  A retractable roofed structure with drop down screens and heaters to compliment this party!
