The Wyandotte Town Centre, Business Improvement Association, has hired private security for overnight business district patrol.
Chair Larry Horwitz says the street-level watch makes the Wyandotte Town Centre businesses, residents, and visitors feel safer.
“The three-month pilot project has been very successful,” Horwitz says. “Our privately funded security team monitors businesses after hours and ensures that they are safe from vandalism, breaking and entering, and trespassing. The program has been very well-received by merchants and will continue to help provide them with a level of comfort and safety for their businesses.”
Horwitz adds that the project is in response to the local community’s concerns and the strategic planning for the growth and success of the business district.
