Rotary Club Launches Newest Fundraiser “Burger Battle 2023”

The Rotary Club of Windsor-Roseland has announced its newest fundraiser. Burger Battle 2023 is a first for the Club and the community that will see ten locally owned restaurants competing for the title of “Best Burger Windsor-Essex.”

The competition runs from February 1st to March 31st and works by purchasing a passport for $20. This entitles you to enjoy a “two for one” burger meal and vote for your favourite one.

“This is an initiative we have been planning to launch over the past three years,” says Paula Talbot, President of the Club. “The Pandemic has challenged the hospitality industry as well as charities who work hard to support the community, and fundraisers such as this are much needed to help the homeless, disadvantaged, families and more.”

A portion of the proceeds from this fundraiser will be used to support the good work done by the Residence for Young Men and the Welcome Centre for Women and Families.

The ten participating restaurants include:

• Colchester Ridge Estate Winery, Harrow
• Edna’s Restaurant by Stev, Belle River
• Joe Schmoe’s, LaSalle
• River’s Edge Tap House, Windsor
• Sandy’s Riverside Grill, Windsor
• Sir Richard’s Wine & Ale House, Windsor
• Smoke N Spice, Windsor
• The Dugout Sports Lounge, Windsor
• Thirsty Butler, Windsor
• Walkerville Eatery, Windsor
