Amherstburg’s annual Christmas light celebration, River Lights, kicked off Saturday evening.

The traditional countdown to the municipal tree lighting with the mayor started at 6:00pm.

Throughout this Christmas season, you can get into the festive spirit by taking a stroll through over 100 lighted displays in the town’s two main parks. Toddy Jones Park features whimsical, playful displays for the kids and the kid at heart to enjoy. Along the Detroit River, visit the King’s Navy Yard Park. You will see traditional displays that showcase the warm-hearted feel of the season with carolers, angels, soldiers and more.
