The City of Windsor is hosting a road safety and traffic town hall meeting at Willistead Manor on Wednesday, June 29th, 2022.
City and health unit staff will make brief presentations at the outset of the meeting and then open it up for discussion with concerned residents.
Topics for discussion will include:
- Neighbourhood speeding
- Driver behaviour at school pick-up and drop-off times
- Pedestrian comfort crossing major streets
- Safety of school children walking to school
In attendance will be:
- Ward Four Councillor Chris Holt
- City departmental staff (from Transportation Planning, Traffic Operations and Parking Enforcement)
- A representative from the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit
- Officers from the Windsor Police Service
- Area school representatives
The purpose of this meeting is to gather feedback and ideas aimed at making city streets the safest they can be. The meeting starts at 6pm.
