Construction Starts On Vollmer Tennis Courts

Construction is underway on four lit tennis courts directly behind the Vollmer Complex, including fencing and walkways.
The 2022 Capital budget for this build was approved at $850,000. An Infrastructure Canada COIVD Stream grant contributed $315,000. This project was awarded to Armstrong Paving and Materials Group. Concrete and paving are scheduled for next week and a waiting period of one month is required after paving until the surface can be coated and the lines can be painted. The project is on schedule and the anticipated opening date is the end of August 2022.
“With demand for tennis courts in Essex County, this is a beneficial addition to our community,” says Mayor Marc Bondy. “We look forward to offering another location in LaSalle to take part in outdoor activities.”
