A new EMS station is in the planning stages in Kingsville.
The be station is proposed for a vacant commercial lot located at 75 Road 2 East.
Plans call for a 96 sq. m (6,415 sq. ft.) three bay building with office space and crew quarters. The site will have direct access to Road 2 East for exiting EMS units. Returning EMS units and day-to-day access will be from the existing access road, which also services the commercial development to the south. The site also includes fuel storage.
The new location will replace the current leased space, which is located at the Kingsville Fire Department south station.
Town council will be asked to give final approval Monday evening.
