The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit has directed the Catholic School Board to dismiss three classes of students and one bus cohort from St. Gabriel Catholic Elementary School after receiving notification of three confirmed cases of COVID-19 there.
The health unit will notify those students when they are able to return to school.
A voice message to the entire school community was sent home this evening to inform them about the situation, and to notify the parents of those students who were dismissed that they should not send their children back to school until they have received further direction from the health unit.
