The outdoor ice rink at Lanspeary Lions Park, will reopen weather permitting, on Sunday, December 26th, for both free public skating (sponsored by Pathway 2 Potential) and rentals.

In keeping with current Provincial regulatory requirements, the rink will be operating at a reduced capacity and by advance reservations only at activewindsor.ca or by calling the central reservations line at 519-255-1161.

Public skating will be offered at the following times:

  • December 26th from 1pm to 3pm
  • December 27th – 30th from 4pm to 5pm
  • January 2nd from 1pm to 3pm

Rental times are also available at Lanspeary Lions Outdoor Rink. To check availability and to book rental times, please call 519-253-2300, ext. 2714.

COVID-19 protocols will be in place and participants are asked to arrive for their reserved public skating time no more than 10 minutes early. Helmets are encouraged. Participants will be required to physically distance during check-in. Please remember to wear your mask as they are required until you are on the ice. City of Windsor staff will be on site to check skaters in and admit to the ice. Washrooms are available but no additional facilities are open at this time.

The schedule and length of the season are all dependent on outdoor temperatures and any potential changes to pandemic regulations.

When Mother Nature cooperates, the ice making process will begin at Charles Clark Square and the City will advise of updates as they become available.
