Pedestrian Killed On Lakeshore Road

A Windsor man was killed Friday evening while walking in Lakeshore.
According to the OPP, preliminary investigation revealed that a vehicle was travelling westbound on Talbot Road between Lapointe Street and Wilson Side Road around 10pm when it collided with a pedestrian.
The pedestrian was transported to a Windsor area hospital, and he was pronounced deceased.
The pedestrian has been identified as Salvatore Onorato, 51-years-old, from Windsor.
The cause of the collision is currently being investigated by Lakeshore County OPP and OPP Technical Collision Investigators (TCI). Talbot Road was closed for approximately five hours and has since reopened.
