The Greater Essex County District School Board is reporting COVID-19 cases at three more schools in Windsor-Essex on Friday.
The board is reporting a second case in a student at Essex Public School on October 7th, one case in a student at Central Public School on October 8th, and a second case in a student at West Gate Public School on October 7th.
Greater Essex County District School Board public relations officer Scott Scantlebury has said the board does not release information about the number of cohorts or students affected by the case.
The board sent letters to the Essex community, the Central community, and the West Gate community.
“We have been working with the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit (WECHU) by providing lists of students and staff who may have been in contact with the individual,” the letters state. “If you have not been contacted, you or your child (ren) have not been identified as close contacts. The WECHU is contacting any individuals (students and staff) who have an identified high-risk exposure with the confirmed case and will give directions to follow.”
