The Transition to Betterness Ride to Survive 2021 raised over $192,000 in support of a special project at Erie Shores HealthCare – Partners in Cancer Comfort.
Participants put the pedal to the pavement across the county on September 19th. They kicked off the day at Point Pelee National Park with breakfast. They rode along the trails to Harrow Fairgrounds where they stopped for lunch, refreshments and veggie packs. Participants crossed the finish line at the beautiful Bloomin’ Gardener where they received medals, plaques and a celebration.
“We are unbelievably grateful to announce the total funds raised was an astounding $192,000.00! We will be partnering with Erie Shores Health Foundation and collaborate on a great project to refurbish a room where patients can receive chemotherapy closer to home in Essex County. Along with having a comfortable and beautiful space to receive treatment, we are also going to offer the much-needed, The Dr. Michelle Prince Comfort Care Tote Program for patients,” said Amber Hunter, Executive Director, Transition to Betterness.
