Hello time traveller!!

A bit more than 7 months has passed since What’s Poppin’ Popcorn Factory opened their first retail store. Since then, business has popped off with an expansion serving ice cream, and the company is excited to expand into the front of the unit that they had previously had the back portion to operate.

The expansion allows What’s Poppin’ to utilize the full 1395 Tecumseh Road East space, and not just the rear unit. With this comes some exciting additions and adjustments — including a collaboration with local brands to bring more to the What’s Poppin’ Floor.

The What’s Poppin’ family has partnered up with RARE Apparel, Brand Dead and Marcuterie to feature their brands along with What’s Poppin’s well loved sweet and salty snacks.

The new larger space also features a production area with large windows and an elaborately designed mural, where shoppers can peek at to see how the popcorn is made.

New packaging for popcorn is also part of the expansion. Customers will soon see a shift with the back unit being dedicated to ice cream, and the newly expanded street-facing unit will home all the dry goods, including those from the new local businesses that have jumped aboard.

“We are super proud to be in Windsor,” Christa Gamble, and owner of What’s Poppin’, mentions. “We have the greatest customers. Thank you for supporting us…to allow us to expand. We couldn’t have done this without Essex County.”

Marlena Morin of Marcuterie stands in the newly expanded What’s Poppin’ location.
