Ray Mensour has been announced as the successful candidate in the recruitment for Commissioner of Community Services.

Mensour has been the Acting Commissioner of Community Services since March 2021 and will join the Corporate Leadership Team on a permanent basis effective today, August 24, 2021.

“I feel very fortunate to be given this increased opportunity, while working with the amazing people and dedicated organizations that make our community so vibrant,” said Ray Mensour. “Together I believe we can continue to work on our goal of improving the services and amenities that we offer our residents.”

After working for the City of Greater Sudbury for 12 years Ray joined the City of Windsor in 2014 as the Manager of the WFCU Centre and Recreation and Facilities. He was able to broaden his knowledge and leadership when he assumed the role of Executive Director of Recreation and Culture in 2017, which ultimately lead him to be the successful candidate in the Commissioner of Community Services position.
