The Windsor Essex County Health Unit announced 2 new cases of COVID-19 in Windsor and Essex County on Thursday.
New Cases
The Health Unit says 2 new cases are reported for Thursday but the net change to the overall local total is zero due to a decrease of 2 cases from another data cleanup. Their method for reducing the total due to data cleanups involves reducing the current day’s recorded new case count.
Total cases remained the same at 16,832 between Wednesday July 7th and Thursday July 8th due to the cleanup, and 23 cases of COVID-19 are currently active in Windsor-Essex.
The Health Unit says both of the new cases were community acquired.
