New Christmas lights are coming to communities in Lakeshore.
On Tuesday evening council approved a one-time expense of $57,600 to purchase lights for the mains streets of Woodslee, St. Joachim, Stoney Point, Comber and Lighthouse Cove. The funding will come from the Community Benefit Reserve Fund.
A base budget of $5,000 was also approved for the annual cost to install and operate the Christmas lights.
A report will be coming to the council in the future with options for lights in other locations.
