Kristen Dwyer of Windsor won a $50,000 top prize with instant crossword inside the instant gift pack.

“I’ve never purchased a lottery ticket. I received this one as a gift!” shared Kristen, a 22-year-old student.

Kristen says her boyfriend looked at the ticket after she played it and said, ‘I think you won!’ They checked the ticket using the OLG Lottery App to confirm the win. “We didn’t believe it. We scanned it multiple times to verify it!”

Kristen told her mother about her big win over the phone. “She was really excited and happy for me,” Kristen smiled.

Kristen plans to use her windfall to pay for her education in social work. “I feel very lucky – this win definitely came during a time of need,” she concluded.

The winning ticket was purchased at Zehrs on Manning Road in Windsor.
