OPP continue to investigate a two-vehicle crash that happened Tuesday evening.

Police say it happened just after 7:00 pm on County Road 42 east of Comber Sideroad between a tractor-trailer and a minivan. The crash caused the transport to jackknife.

The minivan driver fled the scene, which was contained while waiting for additional officers. A call from a concerned citizen reporting suspicious circumstances assisted officers from Lakeshore Detachment to locate the driver. The driver was transported to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The Ministry of the Environment was called to assist with cleanup at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing at this time, and police are asking anyone that may have witnessed the collision or have information about this incident to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
