LaSalle Police Investigating Shooting On Eastbourne Avenue

LaSalle Police are investigating after an adult male was shot in a residence in LaSalle.

Police say it happened just before 8pm on December 7th in the 1000 block of Eastbourne Avenue.

The victim attended the front door to the residence and was confronted by a person with a firearm who immediately opened fire, causing the victim to suffer a gunshot wound. The injury did not appear to be life-threatening, and the victim is expected to recover fully.

The unknown suspect(s) fled the scene and has not yet been located or identified.

Police also say the victim is not cooperating with the investigation.

They believe that this may have been a targeted incident and do not believe that there is an ongoing public safety threat.
