Hôtel Dieu Grace Healthcare has declared an outbreak following an investigation into a cluster of COVID-19 cases within the hospital.
Officials say they’ve declared an outbreak on the third floor of the rehabilitation tower and there are now three staff and two patients who have tested positive for COVID-19.
On Friday the hospital implemented measures to control the outbreak including closing the rehabilitation tower to new admissions, increasing cleaning of the area, temporarily suspending their Designated Care Partners visitation program on the affected unit, and other measures such as reinforcing the importance of the use of personal protective equipment.
The hospital restricted general visitations on November 17th.
