The Downtown Windsor Farmers’ Market is looking forward to the last few weeks of providing fresh produce, local artisan products and baked goods to the community in the heart of the downtown core.

For the remaining weeks October 17th, 24th and 31th, the Downtown Windsor Farmers’ Market will operate from 9am to 1pm, a slight adjustment from the previous part of the season. This is to accommodate vendors, staff and the changing daylight hours.

“Our vendors, volunteers and staff have spent every Saturday morning setting up as early as 6am,” says market coordinator Steve Green. “We’re grateful to the vendors who continue to serve at the market each week — even as it gets cooler!”

The Downtown Windsor Farmers’ Market brings, some weeks, close to 40 vendors to the core, attracts 1,500+ visitors each week, and also benefits small businesses in the area.

“The DWFM is crucial to closing a food desert gap in the downtown area,” says DWBIA Chair Brian Yeomans. “Not only that, but businesses on Pelissier, Ouellette and Maiden Lane benefit directly from increased traffic every Saturday, thanks to the market. We’re looking forward to the rest of the season.”
