The Windsor Essex County Health Unit has confirmed 11 new cases of COVID-19 as of Monday, bringing the local total to 2,732. They say 2,589 people locally have recovered.
Cases increased from 2,721 on Sunday October 11th to 2,732 on Monday October 12th and 67 cases of COVID-19 are currently active in Windsor-Essex.
The Health Unit says 6 cases are close contacts of confirmed cases, 2 cases are travel related, 1 case is a local health care worker, 1 case is community acquired, and 1 case is still being investigated.
There have been no additional deaths due to COVID-19 as of Monday and the local death toll stands at 76.
As of Monday, the Health Unit lists 2 people as hospitalized with confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Windsor Essex, and zero hospitalizations are listed at Windsor Regional Hospital.
There are no retirement homes, long-term care homes or schools under outbreak as of Monday.
There is one workplace outbreak (at an agri-farm) as of Monday.
