El-Mayor Restaurant & Bakery will open its new location in Union Square today.
The original location on Wyandotte Street East burned down on January 3rd, 2019, and owners announced on Christmas Eve the new location would open in South Windsor on Division Road this summer.
Delays caused by COVID-19 pushed the opening back a few months.
The restaurant will be offering curbside pickup for those who are doing takeout. Customers can call in ahead for their order and wait outside until their order is ready, or El-Mayor says you can make your order at the door, and they will bring out to you when it’s ready.
Delivery and dine-in options are also available.
