Duke is a very handsome, 6 year old, 77 pound Retriever Mix.
Duke came into our rescue Heartworm Positive and it has been a long 4 months for Duke as he was on strict crate rest for close to 4 months. He is now done treatment and was retested 6 months after treatment and his tests came back negative, and this big loveable dog is ready to find his forever home.
Duke is super friendly, calm and affectionate. Just eager to please, social and well behaved. He loves car rides, walks; belly rubs and cuddles on the couch or in bed with you! Loves relaxing outside on a nice sunny day.. Gets along with other dogs and ignores cats. He does get some anxiety with thunderstorms but is calm if you stay with him,
Duke does need to be on heartworm prevention year long and does need to go to a home with a fenced in yard, He is neutered
up to date on vaccines including rabies, leptospirosis,and microchip..
