Summer Program And Aquatics Registrations Opens Thursday In Essex

Essex is launching some programs for the summer and registration starts this Thursday.

In-person day camps will begin on Monday, July 6th with limited enrollment available. The day camps will operate under the new standards and procedures set out by the Province of Ontario and Windsor-Essex County Health Unit. In-person day camps will be available for full-week registrations at $175/child.

New week long virtual day camps will be offered in partnership with brainchase.com, an online services which provides a full digital experience for campers, and will cost $60/child.

“This camp is not sitting in front of a computer for hours on end,” said Cynthia Cakebread, Manager of Recreation and Culture. “Our virtual campers will be immersed in activities and strive for achievements throughout the week while receiving individual feedback from our counselors.”

Adult aquatic programs will also begin on July 6th, with limited registration offered on a first-come, first-serve basis. The weekly aquatics programs will be posted, starting July 2nd, under the “Recreation Programs” section at www.essex.ca/COVID.
