The Windsor Essex County Health Unit has confirmed 16 new cases of COVID-19 as of Thursday, bringing the local total to 1,120. They say 667 people locally have recovered.
Cases increased from 1,104 on Wednesday June 10th to 1,120 on Thursday June 11th.
The Health Unit did not provide a breakdown of the new cases in terms of community spread, long-term care, or agri-farm workers as they did not hold a press conference on Thursday. The Health Unit says they will now only be holding weekly press conferences on Fridays.
There have been no additional deaths due to COVID-19 as of Thursday and the local death toll stands at 67.
One long-term care home is, Country Village Homes in Woodslee, is under outbreak.
