227 Confirmed Cases Of COVID-19 In Windsor Essex, Tuesday Morning

The Windsor Essex County Health Unit has confirmed 23 additional cases of COVID-19 as of Tuesday morning bringing the local total to 227. There have been five total deaths locally.

As of Tuesday morning, the Health Unit says 1,671 people have been tested and 195 tests are still pending.

Dr. Wajid Ahmed, Medical Officer of Health for Windsor-Essex says the Health Unit’s website now lists more detailed data related to local cases.

As of Tuesday Morning, seven long term care homes continue to have outbreaks, with the largest at Country Village Homes; 15 patients are hospitalized in Windsor-Essex, and 13 patients have recovered.
