Erie Shores Hospital In Leamington Has New Visitor Policies

Erie Shores Healthcare in Leamington is implementing new visitor restrictions to help combat the spread of COVID-19.

Effective March 14, 2020 at 12:01 am, there will be ONLY ONE (1) visitor allowed per patient.

Two visitors for patients in palliative care.***

NO OTHER VISITORS WILL BE PERMITTED.
NO VISITORS UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE WILL BE PERMITTED.

*** We are prepared to make special exceptions to the visitor policies above on compassionate grounds, but only at the request and approval by the patient, and in consultation with the care team and our infection control team.

Visiting hours remain unchanged – 8 am to 8 pm daily, with 24-hour visitation still permitted for palliative care, critical care and the Emergency Department.

ESHC asks that families and friends designate ONE or TWO individuals to be the visitors per patient throughout that patient’s stay in hospital. We also ask that you do NOT visit if you have travelled outside of Canada over the past 14 days, or have been in contact with someone who has, and/or you are feeling ill yourself.

If you do not need to come to the hospital, please stay home. ESHC is strongly recommending that any Ambulance or medical bills be paid online at www.erieshoreshealthcare.ca.
