Amherstburg’s Recreational Facility, The Libro Centre, will be closed and is cancelling all programs, effective 8pm Sunday evening until further notice.

“Although we still do not have any confirmed cases of the COVID-19 virus in the region, it is imminent that we will, as the numbers escalate in the province and the country”, says Mayor DiCarlo. “Doing our part to reduce the risk to our vulnerable residents, and minimise the burden on our emergency services by reducing the possibility of spreading
germs, seems only prudent at this time”.

Amherstburg Council is scheduled to meet at 5pm Monday at a Special Council meeting, as they continue to monitor the fluid and ever-changing situations, to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the community.
