The Miracle League of Riverside Baseball has opened registration for its inaugural season for both players and volunteers.

“We are excited to open registration for our inaugural season,” says Committee League Director, John Topolie. “Our goal for 2020 is a minimum of 48 players at 12 per team with 4 total teams to ensure round robin play.”

Volunteers who sign-up will be assigned to fulfill a myriad of duties and GameDay responsibilities but will also fill unique roles in the League’s Buddy program. The role of a Buddy puts the volunteer directly on the diamond and gives them the opportunity to work one-on-one with a player to enable their experience while providing encouragement in an all-inclusive environment.

“Volunteers will play a critical role in-event,” says Topolie “We encourage the community and local businesses to participate in our Buddy program to support the League’s participants.”

To registrar, visit their website.  On addition, you can register in person at the Riverside Sports Centre (6865 Ontario Street) on Wednesday, February 5th, 2020 from 6pm to 8pm.

The Miracle League of Riverside Baseball will begin play on Saturday, May 23rd, 2020 on The Solcz Family Foundation Field at Farrow Riverside Miracle Park.
