Prepare For A Snowy Thursday

Wednesday February 5th, 2020, 6:09pm

Snow is on its way to Windsor.

Environment Canada says snow associated with a storm system from Texas will arrive in Southern Ontario tonight.

The snow will become heavy at times late tonight.

By Thursday morning, the snow will likely become mixed with ice pellets near Lake Erie. The snow or ice pellets will then continue through the day Thursday, possibly mixed with freezing drizzle.

They say light freezing rain is however only likely to occur in the Niagara Peninsula.

Additional light snow will be possible Thursday night into Friday morning.

Total snowfall accumulations in the 5 to 10 cm range (2 to 4 inches) can be expected for most areas.

The fresh snowfall is expected to impact the Thursday morning commute.
