OPP, along with Windsor Police executed cannabis act search warrants at two illicit cannabis dispensaries in the City of Windsor Wednesday.

According to police, warrants were executed at commercial locations, including one in the 100 block of Erie Street and another in the 1900 block of Tecumseh Road West.

Also, warrants were executed on residences in the 2300 block of Louis Avenue and the 1400 block of Marentette Avenue.
A quantity of cannabis and related cannabis products, electronics and Canadian currency were seized.

“The OPP is continuing to lead an enforcement strategy which includes other Ontario police services. This strategy will reflect actionable intelligence on illegal cannabis operations. The focus of the strategy is to dismantle organized crime groups, eliminate the illegal cannabis supply, remove illegal cannabis enterprises such as storefronts and online, and target the proceeds of crime and assets,” read a news release from police.
